Jaanisaar’s music unveiled in Lucknow

The cast and crew of Kotwara Studio’s Jaanisaar, including producer Meera Ali, director Muzaffar Ali, along with debutante Pernia Qureshi and Pakistani heartthrob Imran Abbas, recently flew down to Lucknow to promote their upcoming period drama and a sangeet event, which was held at a five star hotel.

The cast and crew of Kotwara Studio’s Jaanisaar, including producer Meera Ali, director Muzaffar Ali, along with debutante Pernia Qureshi and Pakistani heartthrob Imran Abbas, recently flew down to Lucknow to promote their upcoming period drama and a sangeet event, which was held at a five star hotel.
The evening started with a graceful performance by actress-danseuse Pernia to the classical dance song 'Hamein Bhi Pyar Kar Le', followed by the Pakistani composer-singer Shafqat Ali’s gig with Pernia and Imran on stage.

The cast and crew unveiled the music of the film in a mushaira set-up, which was done in the Lucknowi Awadh style. Sounding excited about the musical event of the film, which will release on August 7, Imran said, “The people of Lucknow were quite receptive to it, since they could identify with the whole ambience created. And since most of the film was shot in Lucknow, with many of the junior artistes from there making an appearance, it made the film look very authentic.”
